It has the objective of sharing and advancing knowledge on local impacts, socio-economic trends, certifications of products and process, and Green House Gases emissions of sugarcane and bioethanol production. Aware of the relevance of the impacts of Direct and Indirect Land Use Change, the project has then incorporated a session dedicated to this issue in early 2009.   ICONE main task on this project is to provide technical support in the analysis and development of adequate methodologies to measure Direct and Indirect Land Use Change issues.
